Hey Circle community, starting a little weekly ritual here.
Job hunting in the UAE can feel weirdly opaque. A lot of opportunities circulate through WhatsApp groups, LinkedIn connections, or someone mentioning “oh my company is hiring” at a networking event. So let’s pool that intel right here.
This is not a formal job board, just a place to share signals you’ve spotted this week. That could be a LinkedIn post from a company that seems to be on a hiring spree, a sector where you’re hearing a lot of recruitment noise, a specific role you came across that might suit someone in this community, or even a heads-up that a company you know is NOT hiring right now (also useful).
From what I’m seeing, there’s been a fair bit of movement in fintech, hospitality pre-season push, and some government-adjacent roles in Abu Dhabi. But I want to hear what you’re noticing in your corner of the market.
What jobs or hiring trends have you spotted this week? Drop them below and let’s help each other out.
Great idea for a thread, this kind of crowdsourced intel is genuinely more useful than scrolling job boards for hours.
A few things I’ve been noticing this week:
Fintech / payments: definitely active, especially roles around compliance and AML. Seems like several licensed firms are building out teams ahead of regulatory updates.
Hospitality: classic pre-season hiring push is real, particularly F&B management and guest experience roles at newer Dubai and Abu Dhabi properties.
Government-adjacent in Abu Dhabi: hearing noise around project management and comms roles, often posted quietly on official portals like the Abu Dhabi government jobs platform (jobs.abudhabi.ae is worth bookmarking).
Tip for everyone: LinkedIn’s “actively hiring” badge on company pages has been pretty accurate lately. Filter by UAE and posted this week, you’ll cut through a lot of noise.
What sectors are people in this community actually job hunting in right now? Would help to know where to focus the signal sharing.
